How We Build Computers With Love ❤️

We have an amazing supply chain system inspired by Toyota. It’s called just-in-time (JIT) manufacturing. Yes, the same JIT as in JIT compiler. Compiler folks got inspired by manufacturing. So how does JIT manufacturing work?

  1. You ensure your suppliers feel part of your company and get deliveries of your components in a matter of hours.

  2. When your customer places an order, you place an order to your suppliers. Assembly will take few more hours.

  3. All of this can be pipelined aka done in parallel if you have multiple orders.

Trust with your suppliers and customers is the key for this to work.

From your point of view, you’re not maintaining inventory and thus you have minimal capital requirements. From the customer point of view, they receive the delivery within a day.

Overall, the customer is happy and you are happy. Win-win!
